The Scroll
This was a collaboration with Kooi-Ying Mah Architects to redesign the interior of a dated 70s apartment in Elizabeth Bay. The original apartment was a classic 70s maze-like layout with low ceilings, inadequate ventilation and poorly lit.
The transformation reveals an open, bright, accessible and serene interior.
A distinctive organic timber wall is curated as a main feature through the apartment. The Victorian Ash battens bring warmth and texture into the apartment, at the same time concealining various opening. To complement the timber, reflective surfaces are used to continue the fluidity of the walls and light within the aparmtne from differernt angle.
The refurbished apartment is now the perfect canvas for the Client's growing art collection. The final outcome is beyond the Client's brief and expectations.
